Bristle Cheek Guide, also known as a Bit Burr. A horse bit accessory consisting of short bristles set into a stiff leather backing, with a side slit to allow easy fitting to your horse's bit. Sold singly, the Bristle Cheek Guide or Bit Burr is a  useful item for horses that drift off or run out to one side.
